Thanksgiving Day Bulletin Board

Thanksgiving Day bulletin board - Gobble Up Extraordinary Word Choice.  I had a lesson on using "million dollar words" or extraordinary word choice with my fourth grade students.  We discussed using a thesaurus and came up with a basic word list.  We each took 4 words and needed to find that word in the thesaurus to come up with extraordinary words to use in its place!  Love the way this cute bulletin board came out!  

Christmas Board

The children did a writing activity where they discussed their favorite Christmas book. Look…. We even have REAL Christmas lights on the board! How neat?!?!?!  

Valentine's Day Bulletin Board

My colleagues who are in the reading department with me, we came up with this months bulletin board together. This month was a fun one and the children LOVED IT!!! We made word clouds hearts with adjectives of someone special in our lives! They came out AMAZING!!!!
